Sharihan Al Mashary-MBA
Sharihan Al Mashary graduated from The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM) in 2012 with a BSc (Hons) in International Hospitality Management. Fluent in Arabic, English, Farsi, and Dari with basic skills in German and Russian, Sharihan is a female powerhouse and currently pursuing an MBA at EAHM.
Last year, Emaar Hospitality Group appointed Sharihan as the first female Emirati General Manager of Manzil Downtown. Since joining the Manzil Team, Sharihan has brought exceptional insights to drive the day-to-day operations of the hotel, which is popular among Arab guests. She is focused on building Emirati talent in the hospitality sector, and serves as an inspiration for young Emiratis looking to pursue rewarding careers in the industry.
Christelle Terzian- BBA
Our Student Council is committed to the EAHM community's continued development and well-being.
It consists of ten members chosen through campus-wide elections with the purpose to represent students and provide them with the ability to express themselves. Their main aim is to provide resources for numerous student organizations and clubs, as well as counselling and support, in order to foster a generation that values teamwork, devotion, and responsibility.
Florian Kriechbaumer-BBA
From graduating from the Bachelor programme in 2011 to continuing his studies at one of the eight Ivy League schools in America, Cornell University, Florian is now a bold leader in hospitality and technology today.
Currently working as Chief Operating Officer at Interel in Dubai, Florian's mission to connect people, devices and data to create sustainable environments in the hospitality industry. He is also a proud member of the EAHM Alumni Board and occasionally guest lectures from time to time - so it’s always a pleasure to see Florian at the EAHM campus. It’s amazing to follow the hard work and intelligence of EAHM alumni and we’re thrilled to showcase where they are in the world right now. Enjoy.
Sarah Shaw- BBA
Conscientious, with an impeccable work ethic– Sarah is celebrated within the industry for her focus, agility and warmth. With a BSc in International Hospitality Management from EAHM & an Executive Masters in Public Administration from Zayed University— fast-forward 15 years later, Sarah has gained extensive experience across several industries. Companies (to name a few) are Jumeirah Group, Aldar Properties and Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC).
Currently, Sarah is leading the Head Section of the Strategy Department for The Executive Office of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. A remarkable journey— from a very influential woman.
Omar Abu Omar-BBA
Back in 2008– Omar was on The Emirates Academy Dean’s List for two consecutive Semesters and graduated from the Bachelor Programme in Hospitality Management with a 3.58 GPA. Fast-forward 11 years– he’s taken a diverse and exciting path! With a strong hotelier skillset behind him, Omar completed a Master of Business Administration in Sports & Fitness Management at Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid Universidad Europea in 2016 and is passionate about Sports Photography.
Speaking 4 languages - Arabic, English, Spanish and Turkish - Omar has an impressive resume and has worked with some of Dubai's top hospitality brands such as: Emaar Hospitality Group, Dubai Properties Group and ENOC – predominantly within Social Media and Digital Marketing Comms Teams.
Bassel Al-Attiyat-BBA
A 2018 Bachelor grad— we had the absolute pleasure of both educating & collaborating with Bassel Al-Attiyat. Bassel first discovered his passion for F&B in his 1st year at The Emirates Academy (EAHM). During his 2nd year, he played a key role in the Food Management & Media elective— designing and executing an Urban Peruvian restaurant concept - "ALMA". *Alma is still the first student group to have scored 100% on the F&B course.
Bassel’s 3rd year was a pretty special one, as he was selected to Intern at the two-Michelin-star Restaurant Noma in Copenhagen, Denmark. Run by the famous Chef René Redzepi, Noma is known for its reinvention and interpretation of the Nordic Cuisine and was ranked as the "Best Restaurant in the World" by Restaurant Magazine in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014— as of 2019, it is ranked 2nd. Since completing his Internship, Bassel has travelled to Jordan and Egypt; supporting new restaurant startups in hotels to create meticulous and flavorsome menus. Now back in Dubai— he’s super-charged and ready to take his career to the next step!
